Q. What is the Mahogany 3 month Natural Keratin Smoothing Treatment?
A. It is a specially formulated revitalising and rejuvenating treatment for the hair that eliminates frizz and curl. The advanced formulation restores and restructures hair by infusing a special blend of natural keratin deep into the damaged cuticle. The keratin is bonded into the cuticle by the heat of hair strengtheners at a very specific heat to relax the hairs sub cuticle layer.
Q How long does the treatment take?
A. The treatment time varies depending on the length, thickness and texture of the hair that is being treated, but allow 2-3 hours.
Q.Will you require a haircut?
A. If the ends of your hair are particularly damaged  we would strongly recommend a haircut before having the 3 month blow dry treatment , as when the hair has been treated to form a very smooth finish, damaged ends ( split ends ) will become more apparent.
Q.What results can be expected after the treatment?
A. The hair will be noticeably softer and smoother immediately. After the first wash you will notice that your hair will be more manageable, take less time to blow dry and will retain smoothness and shine.
Q.Can I still have my hair coloured?
A. Yes absolutely, a great time to have your hair treated is directly after any colour service. The colour will be sealed in, leaving the hair vibrant and extending the life of the colour. However you must wait 2 weeks to colour your hair after the treatment.
Q.How many days after the treatment before the hair can get wet or be washed?
A. You must wait 3 days (72 hours) before washing your hair or swimming.
Q.Can I tie my hair back or clip it up during this time?
A. No. The hair should not have any impressions made by using bands or clips prior to the first wash.
Q.What should I do if I do if I get my hair wet?
A. Blow dry it and straighten it as soon as possible.
Q.How often can the treatment be done?
A. The treatment can be done as often as every 4-6 weeks if required although most people will have it done every 10-12 weeks.
Q. How long will the treatment last?
A. The treatment lasts 2-4 months depending on the hair type and texture, provided all the aftercare instructions are followed.
Q. Can the treatment be done on pregnant or nursing women?
A. No it is not recommended.
