The Mahogany Team has built its unique style on developing technically creative and commercially successful hairdressers. Mahogany’s Award winning Training Program is the foundation that has enabled Mahogany to become artistically recognised throughout the world. Appearing at all international hair shows and producing photographic work that has appeared in every major international publication in the world.
All hairdressing training schemes are of course infamous for all the tea and coffee making and the floor sweeping, although these jobs still need to be carried out, the Mahogany training program will be focusing on the far more interesting tasks. Some of these tasks will involve work on clients such as blow-drying and applying semi-permanent colour.
You will very quickly realise that the Mahogany training program is very full and enjoyable and will provide you with a great degree of fulfilment and job satisfaction.
You will be working and involved in the fashion industry. Your overall image must therefore reflect this. All staff must have a high standard of personal hygiene and dress.
During your first month, part of your training will be in the reception area of the salon. This will involve greeting clients, making appointments and answering the telephone. The main bulk of your training will take place during specially arranged training sessions. These weekly sessions will be dedicated to hairdressing training, and will be carried out at the Mahogany hairdressing academy situated at our central office premises in Oxford at 2 King Edward Street. You will at this point be presented with your Mahogany Portfolio. This will detail all the skills and knowledge that you will learn over the coming months.
